You should use proper terminology when referring to specific parts of the tambourine, especially when recording movements.
Some tambourines have more parts than stated, however, the following are the areas you will need to learn to be able to understand and write long and shorthand instructions for tambourine movements.

For the Timbrel Praise style of playing the tambourine, you will need a tambourine that has a membrane. You will also need an untuned tambourine, meaning there are no metal attachments on rim of the tambourine that could hurt your hand when playing.
