The TriangleThe Triangle is the first movement of the “Easy Eight” movements and the first movement taught in the Timbrel Praise: Basic Tambourine course. Before beginning, you should first learnt how to play the Shake, Shake with a Bang and Continuous Bang in the “Steps” section. How to Learn Tambourine Movements Learn how to play each step used in the movement. The Triangle uses the Shake, Shake with a Bang and Continuous Bangs. Read through the longhand and shorthand instructions until you have the general idea of how to play the movement.  Using your tambourine, work through each step slowly until you have formed the movement. Watch the instructional video, if available. It’s recommended that you watch the video AFTER you have tried to figure out the movement to improve how quickly you learn the movement.  Practice the movement until you are able to movement fluently. Practice the movement with music. This is how you should learn all movements. When doing the Swings, you should not use your entire arm but just your wrist. When doing the Skinners, your non-playing hand should not move away from waist centre more than just slightly. Scripture: none Steps used in this movement: Bangs Shakes with a Bang Double Bangs Swings Under Hit Longhand Instructions 1.      1 right thigh Bang. 2.      1 left thigh Bang. *For steps 3-4, hold your non playing arm in front of you as if you were preparing to shake someone’s hand. 3.      2 Swings under your non playing arm, beginning left. 4.      2 Swings over your non playing arm, beginning left. 5.      2/4 Shakes with a Bang in a clockwise rainbow from waist left to waist right, moving as high as face centre. 6.      3 Double Bangs at waist right. 7.      1 Under Hit at waist right.
